Taskweather

Focus sounds that follow your work

When your work changes, the sound follows.

Rain, streams and waves that change on their own as you move between code, documents and study. It plays in your browser, with nothing to install, and goes quiet when a video or lecture starts.

Free during the beta: sign in and every feature is yours, no card needed.

What plays as you move between tabs
  1. github.comCodingSteady Rain
  2. docs.google.comOfficeBrook & Birds
  3. en.wikipedia.orgReadingDistant Rain
  4. youtube.comPaused while the video plays

With the browser extension. Without it, pick a mode yourself.

How it works

Looks only at the site name

With the browser extension, it checks only the site name of your active tab (github.com, docs.google.com…). Never the page address, title or contents, and the decision stays on your computer.

Ignores quick switches

A few seconds replying to a message or searching won’t change the sound. It moves over gently only when a task keeps going.

Sounds of nature

Rain, streams, waves, wind and birds, generated live in your browser. Nothing loops, so it stays easy to listen to for hours.

Your call

Not this sound right now? “Not now” keeps the last one for 5 minutes, and you can tell a site to keep the current sound or pause there, all from the toolbar button. With Pro, “too intense” or “too calm” tunes the sound and your own site rules pick the mode.

Made for

Developers

Knows GitHub, Stack Overflow, cloud consoles and AI assistants. Your editor and other apps outside the browser can’t be seen, only that you left it, so there it plays the sound for what you said you mostly do (coding). No more stopping to pick a playlist.

Remote workers and freelancers

Follows a day spent across Figma, Notion, Google Docs, Slack and mail. Goes quiet on video sites.

Students

Soft rain while you read and take notes. Pauses on its own when a YouTube or Coursera lecture starts.

What it never looks at

Site names never leave your computer. The server stores only time per mode, how often you switched manually, and the feedback you tapped. Read the privacy policy
