Taskweather

Get started with Taskweather

  1. Open the player and press play

It plays in your browser, nothing to install. Keep that tab open (pinning it is best) while you work in other tabs and apps.

  2. Add the extension to switch automatically

The free browser extension tells the player which site you’re on, so the sound follows your work. It reads only the site name of the active tab, on your computer, and sends it nowhere else.

The extension is on its way to the Chrome and Edge stores. Until then, pick a mode in the player yourself.

Good to know

  • Keep the player tab open (pin it) and the sound keeps playing while you work in other tabs and apps. Closing that tab or the browser stops the sound.
  • The extension’s toolbar button plays and pauses from any tab, and so does Alt+Shift+K (change it in the browser’s extension shortcuts). Only one player tab plays at a time.
  • Locking your screen pauses the sound; unlocking picks it up again.
  • Outside the browser, app names can’t be seen; the sound follows what you said you mostly do. You can change it in Settings.
